Ever Wonder... What's That Smell?

Bad breath has been an issue plaguing the world for many years. In ancient times, Greeks used home remedies to defeat the curse of stinky breath. Brushing and flossing your teeth is a definite way to put the bad breath at bay. Instead of going to your dentist every time you have an issue with bad breath, here are some home remedies to keep your breath fresh and clean:
  • Rinse with water after eating each meal.
  • Eat fresh vegetables, like carrots and celery, to fight plaque.
  • Brush your teeth with baking soda.
  • Stay hydrated throughout the day. Keeping hydrated causes an increase in saliva growth, which prevents production of bacteria.
  • Be sure to eat more vitamin C rich fruits like melons, berries, and citrus fruits.
Persistent bad breath can be treated by your dentist in the office and may be a sign of a larger problem. Contact us if you are having any issues.
